Valentine’s Day is for lovers and foodies. Good thing several local restaurants are preparing to make the big love day memorable for all the right reasons.

So who’s got dinner specials? The good news is many restaurants are pulling out the culinary punches. Bad news is some restaurants, such as Savour Restaurant on Park Avenue, are so limited that their window for reservations on Feb. 14 sold out in a flash.

Fear not.

Here’s a sampling of what some Tallahassee restaurants are serving on one of the busiest days of the year for the hospitality industry.

Valentine’s Dinner Special: The restaurant is serving three surf and turf for two options. All includes two sides; New York strip steak and crab cakes; blackened prime rib and rock lobster tail and dry aged bone-in ribeye and chimichurri scallops.

Valentine’s Dinner Special: Expect a four-course meal.

First course — antipasti: an array of prosciutto, roasted grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, grain mustard, whipped ricotta cheese with extra virgin olive oil and toasted sourdough bread.

Paired with Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc.

Second Course — Linguine Pescatore: Shrimp, sea scallops and mussels tossed in a spicy marinara sauce. Paired with Quilt Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
