  1. Out in the country in every state they only have signs and they don't need lights or arms it's law stop look and listen if people don't know the laws they should look them up trains always have the right away not the cars

  2. Very sad. BUT, it was a R/R crossing WITH signs warnining drivers. Also trains have the loudest horns to warn you.
Did you ever hear one within 100 yards?
Maybe we should build bridges across every crossing so idiots that don't pay attention will be safe.

  3. 👍👍STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN! It is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE! You who want a crossing gate at ALL the 25,000+ railroad crossings though out the US SHOULD ALSO demand ALL 1,000,000+ STOP signs be replaced nationwide with traffic lights. Technology and barriers DO NOT FIX STUPID and INATTENTIVE drivers. Several people are killed by trains each year by going AROUND Railroad crossing arms that are down. Hundreds are killed each year by RUNNING Stop & Yield signs AND RED traffic lights. YOUR Taxes and prices would go up SIGNIFICANTY just to do this…. ALL because of INATTENTIVE DRIVERS.

  4. There should Always be a gate at every train track. In Clearwater there is a No Horn sign ( for train) and I didn't even see a gate since seeing this accident on the News i have been so scared of going over the railroad tracks, i het so tense. Its just so scary.. my condolences sent out to this family, my heart breaks for ALL of them plus the one person who was killed in 2021

  5. Two accidents in two years is not too bad when compared to the 1000s of accidents at crossroads, and they usually have lights. Had the driver pulled in front of a semi, this story would no longer be news worthy. People need to pay attention when they are driving.

  6. A train has lights, sirens & you can hear it rumbling down the tracks before it even gets to the train crossing. I live off a active railroad tracks in Dade City FL (a few hundred feet away). A good number of Floridians have that mentality that they have right of way/someone else will stop or react instead).
