    y’all are bashing the driver but y’all don’t yk the full story.
    I went to check it out the place where it happened, and I saw the train coming, by the time I looked back the train went zooming behind me.
    I did my research there been 2 death on the same rail road (this is the 2nd) the first one was in 2021. The property in not public but the owner host party for business all the time. That road is build for 1-4 cars max.
    At the party there were about 100 – 500 people attending and it would take forever for you to leave.
    Let’s be honest if you were able to see the rail road you wouldn’t stop, there not the necessary caution signs.
    Plus there bushes and there BIG you don’t see the train until it’s going past right infront of you.

    Aswell as there was a car infront of them honking at them , they didn’t know if it was telling them to stop or if there was to slow down. And they slowed down

    I’m blaming this on the owner of the property/ business. The road is meant for the 2 families that live there

  5. My step mom was Bsf with the mother, they known each other since forever, and we got invited to a Easter party of theirs but we decided to go next year.. I guess we won’t be able to do that. Praying for her sisters as there the only relative here and her mom is Texas, praying for anyone who got effected by these news (I’m talking about Enedelia the mother )

  6. Prayers go out to the families of the victims. It's ridiculous for railroads to allow unprotected crossings on a right- of-way where the maximum track speed for any type of train, exceeds 25mph. This crossing is established in a way that while on it at night, the headlights of a train can easily blend in with highway traffic headlights from that angle. Also a vehicle full of talking ppl would be very difficult to hear a trains air horn from. This crossing should at least have lights, based on track speeds.

  21. This happened in front of where my aunt lives so we were there on scene. The family was was going to a Quinceañera, they were family of someone my mom knows, it’s really sad

  22. If the driver of the SUV survives he should be tried for negligent homicide or manslaughter. Anyone that stupid that would drive through a RxR crossing deserves time to stew in prison and think about his actions.

This "reporter" seems to be pointing the blame on the trains speed and lack of a signal… There are many rural train crossings that do not have signals… you are supposed to do the same thing like if you were crossing a roadway… STOP and LOOK… I will presume the driver didn't want to wait and tried to beat the train… maybe they were late or just didn't want to wait… the driver apparently misjudged the trains speed and drove right in front of the train… bad choice…

  30. Usually there is a light on both sides of the road that will blink red & those poles come down to stop traffic when a train is coming even when the poles are down some cars will go in-between those poles
