Florida lawmakers to crackdown on insurers and protect consumers

I'll believe it when I see it. With that being said, will this fix the problem of high rates and few providers in the state?

Yet nearly 7 months later and our insurance has paid nothing. Still stuck in a hotel, with zero reimbursement, even though we paid for coverage. Condo association assessment not paid, also paid for the coverage. Nothing since Oct when they sent in some adjuster from Chicago, while we still had no water, electricity or cell service, he was there less than 5 minutes. USAA, Military Insurance, gave us 2k, minus our deductible for a "couple coats of paint". Months of sending and resending pictures and videos only to have them tell us over and over they never received them. Never given a person as our contact. Some random email we are supposed to handle everything through. Finally got a public adjuster to come in once the black mold was found behind our drywall, in the air ducts and ceiling. Even the PA could not get USAA to return a call or assign a desk adjuster!!! The only thing USAA has done is increase our premiums and continue to take those premiums every single month. Frustration doesn't begin to cover this. It's becoming a helpless, desperate feeling which is what I belive is exactly what they want. WE NEED HELP!
